Transparent glass rods (canna) are prepared in advance, containing fine threads of opaque (lattimo) or colored material inside them.
These rods are placed parallel on a refractory plate and heated until they melt smoothly.
The master glassmaker collects the web of filaments by wrapping it around the main glass mass (blowing).
By blowing and twisting the piece, the opaque glass threads form the refined linear or crossed pattern that runs vertically along the entire body of the vase.
